Hyperion Planning in 11.1.2.4: Cannot change Plan Type names on the fly

So what do we have here ?

If you remember in .2.3 we could change the plan names after an application was created. Although, I couldn't figure out why anyone would do that in the first place, I know for sure that it creates a lot of problems during application migration.  We faced a lot of issues due to this thing when migrating our FDMEE interfaces within 11.1.2.3

Now coming to Planning application migration of 11.1.2.3 to 11.1.2.4. LCM migration is pretty smooth except for Plan Type names.
In .2.3 version, we could change the cube name at the time of application creation later it would become uneditable, but Plan Type name could be edited even then. See below, Plan type name can be edited:

 

 In the latest version though, you will see that this feature is thankfully disabled, the cube name that is specified at the time of application creation becomes your Plan Type name. 

So, How does this affect me ? 

The only problem you might get is during application migration : if your Plan Type does not match. So, before taking an LCM export, make sure you have matching plan type names !
